Weatherization Assistance Program
What is Weatherization?
The Weatherization Assistance Program is a nationwide effort to reduce energy costs by making homes more energy efficient. This can include insulation, repairing or weatherizing windows and doors, inspecting furnaces, replacing refrigerators - and more!

Within the Energy Services department, there are actually several programs to assist homeowners, renters, and landlords.
How does the program work?
- Call Quaranta Housing Services and request an application.
- Your completed application is reviewed to determine eligibility.
- You reach the top of the applicant list and an appointment is made for a home energy audit.
- Needed parts and supplies are ordered and work is scheduled.
- Work is completed and a final inspection is done.
