Home Performance (Energy Star)
This program is sponsored by NYSERDA and is available to NYSEG and NIMO customers that meet the income guidelines. The program offers electric and energy reduction measures on single family and 1-4 family rental units with project costs up to $20,000.
Eligible applicants may receive a 50% subsidy up to $5,000 for eligible energy saving measures such as attic or sidewall insulation, window and door replacement, furnace replacement, water heater and appliance replacements. The remainder of the project cost may be paid by customer funds, financed with low interest financing offered through the program or paid by several other payment options that are available to the customer.
